  • After his birth, he was named Sajjad Babbar which was taken from his maternal grandfather’s name Sajjad Zaheer. However, his debut film director Khalid Mohammed asked his parents to change his name as Khalid believed that with his name audience would get confused whether Aarya was a Hindu, Muslim, or Sikh.
