Aaron Pierreās ancestors are from Jamaica, CuraƧao, and Sierra Leone.
In childhood, inspired by the American athlete Maurice Greene, he aspired to become an athlete.
He then started participating in various race events like 100m, 600m, and 4Ć100 meter relay.

At the age of 13, he joined Croydon Young Peopleās Theatre (CRYPT) at the Warehouse Theatre in central Croydon. From there, he started developing an interest in acting.
At 17, he moved to Toronto to learn more about classical theatre.
In 2018, he performed in the English theatre play Othello in which he played the role of Cassio. He was then spotted by the American filmmaker Barry Jenkins, who offered him a role in his film.
