Aaliya Honey got married to Shehbaz Sharif in 1993. His family did not acknowledge their marriage. His brother Nawaz Sharif opposed their relationship.
They parted ways in 1994 when Shehbaz was in exile in Saudi Arabia.
Reportedly, Shehbaz built the Honey Bridge in Lahore and named it after Aaliya.
According to various reports, the bridge was constructed so that he could easily travel to his wife’s residence. In other reports, it was stated that the bridge was built so that his wife could get back home on time from her office.
