Controversies • In 2013, Anoop arrested in case of disrupting the Youth Congress meeting at his village in Cherthala. In the same year, an FIR was registered against him by the Youth Congress supporters alleging that he was indulged in a fight with them and used abusive language. However, both the complaints were withdrawn later.
• In 2017, he claimed that actor Dileep who has involved in the abduction and sexual assault case of a famous Indian actress had threatened to eliminate him from the industry for speaking against mimicry. Anoop gave his statement to the Special Investigation Team and said ''Dileep’s fury had cost him his career.''
